John Roadhouse

CPCC
John is a partner in New Ground, LLC, an organization that offers executive, professional, and personal coaching to clients throughout the United States. A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, John is a full-time professional coach, who works with clients in corporate, professional, and personal settings to enhance leadership, performance, accountability, and growth - in the framework of client-defined goals. To this compelling work, he brings a wealth of experience as a coach, psychotherapist, and lawyer. Among John's coaching clients are business executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, and health professionals. While clients' specific goals may differ, their broad objectives tend to be similar. These include enhancing existing professional/personal strengths and skills, identifying and developing the qualities necessary for effective leadership, and creating the conditions for balance and fulfillment in their lives. For many clients, the coaching experience with John is about transitions - to new vocational roles and relationships, changes in health and family - and the challenges and opportunities that transitions offer for fulfillment and happiness. John is a graduate of the University of Michigan, the University of Michigan Law School, the Boston Family Institute, and the Coaches Training Institute. His background includes professional experience as the Clinical Director of the Elk Grove-Schaumburg Townships Mental Health Center, a psychotherapist in private practice, and a partner in Conklin & Roadhouse, a 20-lawyer Chicago firm specializing in complex litigation. He is a member of the International Coach Federation, the American, Illinois, and Washington Bar Associations. John and his wife are parents of a 26 year old son. He divides his time between Chicago and Twisp, in the mountains of Washington State, where he enjoys hiking and golf. He is a longtime meditation practitioner.
